It's not that we want the world to come to an end in 2012, but with all the hype over the fabled Mayan calendar apocalypse, it would be nice to see something dramatic happen before the end of the year.
The Jason Miller Playwrights' Project chose the theme "Apocalypse," with all of its many interpretations, as the theme for our second annual Invitational, running Sept. 20-30 at The Olde Brick Theatre in Scranton, Pa.
Building on the success of our inaugural festival which produced nine new short plays by regional writers last September, this year's event will debut 12 works in two programs presented on alternating days over two weekends.
